Well today's "widowmaker hill Jr." climbing session laid the aluminum bumper brackets to rest...Never again...

I will pay the 5-8 bucks for new brackets from now on...I listened to the conventional wisdom of this board when it came to avoiding aluminum for essential parts...I figured that metal bumper brackets would last longer than plastic....NOT. All I did was replace breaking with bending and bending seems to be more of a pain...LOL.

Anyway, the pitch on this Hill is such that it is hard to climb up on foot. It has large rocks waiting to jump out and bite ya. the bumpers were damgaed from a roll over or two...However, After numerous attempts, everything fell into place and we made it to the Top. This was one of the most enjoyable bash session I have had...I love the technical aspects of hill climbing...My eye is on a monster that may just be impossible...but I have been eyeing it up since winter...Anyway, Anybody else incorporate some TOUGH hill climbing into their bash sessions? Any Tips on Set-ups? I may have found a use for the solid spool....Can't wait until tommorrow!!!

I bought hardcore racing titanium bumber brakets for my revo cause i just loved the idea of having titanium on my truck but afterabout of year of some major baching at a bmx track the rear one got all bent out and then recently the front one was bent after one too many cartwheels off a makeshift ramp. anyways, the best place for those spiffy parts is to help protect but not the replace. I do love my titanium under body plate. it has really protected me from a few bad bottoming outs and the make pretty aparks when it meets concrete.:D

Yea the bling just don't bash.......I have been full circle on this stuff....it has its place.....but unless you are going to make it all titanium end to end...its going to bend or break the part up the line..

 I agree 100% about the skid plate. I have all of their Titanium skid plates under my basher and really haven't managed to skuff them up too badly yet!

I am going to upgrade my skid plates for sure....I have noticed they take a pretty hard beating when I am bashing "construction sites" and such...I had more fun the past weekend with this thing than I could stand...It amazes me what these things can do!!!!
