I got an axial yeti jr. with some problems.
the servo spring is as tight as I can get it but the saver is still slipping. In other words, the yellow-circled part in the diagram is directly connected to a gear on the servo shaft, and is slipping against the purple-circled part, which it shouldn't. Until it gets fixed, the Yeti's on the shelf, so if u got answers, don't hesitate to share 'em.

Add a washer or two here, so the spring gets compressed further? Or just get a regular servo horn, but then you lose the saver and your servo gears could strip.

It could be the servo gears are stripped already.

Can lightly scuff and clean the saver. When they get smoothed out they slip. Same if they get wet or oil on them.

replace servo saver make sure servo gears are main issue..

You could always just remove the saver outright. Just be aware of your driving not to slam into anything. You may strip the servo out in the end, but the rtr servo is pretty junky anyways.
