The Axial .28 is a carbon copy of the HPI K4.6, hell, IT IS THE K4.6, you're much better off with the Axial.28RR.

I tried arguing that to one of the Axial staff, he was ready to start WWIII with me :D Their argument is that the "specs" are different lol.

V-spec is hard to beat for price/tunability/power/economy. You can find one anywhere from $225 (if you search) to about $260. I really like the Radical 621T but it's closer to about $280 and there's a shortage of them right now due to the fact a machine was damaged during the move at the factory in Italy. A P5X may not be bad either about $250.

I'd refer you to Monkey Wrench on that one. I had one once a long time ago and hated it, MW had one on his 5T. I personally am not a fan, it was a bitch to tune.

Does anyone know of any engines with green round cooling heads? I know it sounds stupid but I drove a truck a while back that had one and it was sick.

STS D21T (first generation). Axial has one

I'm looking for one with a completely round head. No scallops in the side.

did they have green ones though? I always remembered italian mills having pink/purple, gold and natural

I saw the CRF Wasp REV .21 Off-Road engine on team orions website, but I can't find it any where online? Is this engine available in america at all?

you'll be surprised to hear this about the CRF mills, cuz I was blown outta my seat and into the wall. They are made by Toki, the guys who were famous for terrible mills in the past.

The crf engines seem to be doing pretty darn well, I'm glad to see Toki is on the way back to success!

Unfortunately, the .21 and .28 have yet to make it to the USA IIRC.

What about this engine:http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=OFN53212. I dont need gobs of power right away, it will be my first season with a truggy. I can always buy something with more power later.

Only time I got this thing to run even close to right is when Jetmech turned me onto Byron's 3000 30% fuel. Not sure why it ran rough beforehand, but I'd consider looking at another mill before settling on this one.

for a .21 with suffice power for a truggy, comes a higher cost

I'll argue that this is an overly broad statement based more on conjecture than actual fact. There are ample .21's with enough power for a truggy well within his budget. I got an OS .21 VZB V-Spec on eBay for just over $200.00 and it runs like a raped ape! Sure, you always take the chance of it being a POS, but generally speaking, if you know what you are looking for and ask prudent questions you won't get burned.

monkey, i'll i meant is...

what power a engine puts out in a buggy, wont be the same in a truggy. some of the cheaper priced engines less than $250 just aren't exactly a racers dream, unless you start gearing for that particular engine to take the advantage of its powerband.
