hey guys i have just been offered a savage xl for $450 it has heeps of spares and also comes with an Axial .32rr which has only had 8 tanks through it my friend said that it was a good deal is it?

8 tanks on the engine, but how many on the truck? Gallons? That means new diffs are probably in order as are center cups and axle bearings.

Personally, I'd pay someone to take an axial from me, but that's just me. ;)

Not a great deal IMHO. Depending on the condition of the truck as a whole and depending on what the "heaps o spares" are, I'd at least try to get below $400.

I agree with the opinions expressed so far. Depending on the condition of the truck (diffs, bearings, tranny, etc.) I would not go any higher than $325 to $350. You could get just as good or a better deal than that on evilBay. There are places you could get a new XL for around $500. Just my $.02.

That's a bunch of parts, but the only wear parts your getting is the slipper. As long as the truck is tight and the engine runs well, I think you did just fine. If the diffs are shot and the engine isn't what it's supposed to be, chalk it up to a learning experience. Let us know how it runs. I hope it works out for you bro.

That's not too bad a deal. I hope it's in good condition for you and it runs like a race horse. Good luck!:D

My LHS in Canada has a 2 month old T-MAXX for 350CDN....He'd probably ship to AUS (at your expense unfortunatly) comes with everything, and has only had 7 tanks run thru her. There's also an LST XXL and usually a SAVAGE X or XL comes thru every now and then, but they go QUICK

hey cool can you give me the name of the hobby shop i might look into the items hes got
