sorry for bashing a company but dont buy from duratrax, they just plain dont makea quality vehicle, i can't get the MAX ST PRO truck to work right for more than a tnak of fuel.
 
Bashmaster it sounds like you have some tuning issues with the carb or a possible fuel leak. If the vehicle is brand new than this might be fair to say. If it is an RTR than It may not be fair to say seeing as how a human put it together. If you have had it for some time or bought it used it is not fair to say at all. So what's the story with it???
 
Please explain a little more about your issue.

Granted Duratrash isn't the best company selling RCs but for the price you can get into the hobby relatively cheep.

the engine runs just fine (OS made) the truck just can't hold together around it the chassis flexes so much that the spurgears come out of contact withe the clutch bell, the spur gear hits the rear a-arm when its compressed and, the drive line is the worst system i have ever seen on an rc car/truck.

BTW i ahve a t-maxx and my friend got the MAX ST pro and he got sick of trying to figure out whats wrong with it every second (its his frist rc) ( the cheap price led him into getting a cheap truck) so he left it at my house to let me have a try at it the only quality on it is the steering system and the engine.

it seems like duratrax just throws a heap of plastic and some aluminum together and call it an awseome machine, and granted, when i get the magic setup and all the screws locktited to death and tuned to as best as i can get it, the truck really performs pretty well, but it wont stay liek that for more than a tank of fuel.
hes gonna try to return the st pro and get a rush evo which i think is a good idea, but i dont know if he'll be able to return it.

The reasons you stated are the reasons why many hobby stores don't carry Duratrax...because they don't want to deal with the returns. (not saying customer error doesn't come into effect, because 9/10 times customer error IS the problem. Actually, customer error is the reason why 99% of hobby stores don't have reutrns on anything opened.)
There have been at least 5 seperate times someone has come into the hobby store asking for Duratrax parts (it's kinda freaky, but they all bring their vehicle in with them. Not many people bring in the vehicle, they just come in to get parts) and their buggy/truck looks BRAND SPANKIN new!
I personally don't care if they sell at prices that no other company can compete with, or if their engine is made by OS or not. Duratrax is nicknamed Duratrash for more than one reason. Hobby grade RC is not a hobby for those who want to get in as cheap as possible and stay as cheap as possible. It sounds bad, but it's the truth.

you know I have to say DuraTraxx is cheapo stuff. I have never owned any of it and I am judging it purley from looks, but it looks like RC poo
 
I have a few duratrax tools and they aren't too bad, but like blazer said their cars look like rc poo.
