If you're someone who enjoys an activity that is hyper focused on 1 thing....oval could be for you.
We took our 1/8 Buggies to a 1/10 dirt oval when our usual track was closed, and to be honest, I found it boring in comparison to Off-Road, but different strokes for different folks?...

My buddy and I both got pretty consistent - both had timed 10 laps runs in the 1:15 range (7.5 secs/lap), seems that 1/10 is running 10+ seconds/lap when you look at their race results.

I could see how a locked rear diff would indeed make it easier to "spin out"!...

(Edited to add) Put a spool/locker in that center diff so your front end pulls you through?...

In all fairness you may have cheated yourself out part of the challenge. 1/8 is gonna be wider, with bigger wheels, and less effected by any imperfection in track surface. But I agree, not everything is for everyone

Understood. I can't get into "everything", so focusing on 1/8 for now. I'm sure it's much more of a Challenge when you have ten of those 1/10 "Outlaws" on that (banked) oval!...

If anyone remembers what it is. An app I think, allows for tracking lap times based on color selection and use of the phone camera. This is running oval laps, and has a big red shell that should be easy for the camera to pick up accurately. Should make for a good test subject for the software.

Brushless system installed. Moved to the dumborc controller for max adjustibility options.
I have bought enough used rc to know that not everyone takes their time and makes solder joints that are good to look at...or functional. That is not the case here
