Hello All,

Was out bashing in the freezing cold and the set screw that connects the axle to the slider drive shaft snapped. Any ideas how to remove the hinge so I can get the screw out? See pics of what I need to remove. Any help is appreciated.

There's a hole through it. The 2mm hex driver goes right through to the screw. No need to dissamble the axle.

Thanks for the response. I got that part but the screw snapped on the inside so it’s no longer long enough to screw in. I need to get it out but there’s not enough room to clear the hinge

Those pins you are seeing... those tabs on the driveshaft plastic just flex enough to get them on there. Disassembling them will deform them and make them come spart easier from there on. But thst is not a pin. That is a universal joint, shsped like an X. All 4 of those pins you're pointing to are all one piece. Just bend that tab up with some needle nose pliers.

When you get them apart, you will see there is a groove molded into the inside of the driveshaft that those pins lead into to snap them together.

I can't seem to get a good enough grip on it but where there's a will there's a way. On the other hand, I was planning on upgrading the shafts so might just do it now and cut my losses lol. Thank you!
