Too much will hydrolock it and really foul your plug. Can usually be remedied by dumping some fuel in the carb, pulling the plug and pulling the starter gently a few times with the head pointing at the ground to flush out the oil.

Really Cody?:D I have used the flywheel before....yours must be "Custom" and work a bit better...lol Posting while drinking again I see..

I normally do a couple in the carb and a couple in the glow plug hole and rotate everything with pull start or what ever you use. Put the plug back in and you should be gtg. But yes more is not always better.
 
I use a lot of ARO when I'm storing an engine, but I don't put a plug in it. I take apart and clean the entire engine inside and out with DA, including the carb, OWB... Then I lube it liberally with ARO all over the bearings, few drops on the carb as I put it back together, the conrod ends, piston/cylinder wall, lube the OWB with 3-in-1, seal the backplate, carb neck, carb banjo fitting, then put it in a ziplock baggie and squeeze all the air out.

This is typically referred to as "pickling an engine". Done when storing for 6+ months. Just to avoid having any oxidation/corrosion on the bare aluminum and bearings when it sits.
 
Good point Olds, I do pretty much thing when storing an engine. I use a VERY healthy amount of WD-40 or Marvel and get a good amount in there with the glow plug out and slosh it around then let most of it drain out so it is not too messy. I started using one of the FoodSaver vacuum sealers for storing engines. I found it works pretty good. If you are in a high humidity area this is a decent idea. Like you said the insides can rust pretty quick and easy.
 
It's a mystery! That's why they call it that. For ARO, I use a couple of drops in the carb and a couple of drops in the glow plug.
 
Thanks alot guys. I think I put three in the cylinder and three in the air filter. I hope I'm ok with that.
