Will it hurt to shoot some ARO in the throat of the carb then start the engine? Letting it run until the ARO stops ignition.
Was on the verge of stopping anyway due to no fuel in tank.

Thanks guys.

ARO is after run oil. I guess it would stop the engine, you can put aro an nearly every part of the engine with no ill efects. Some guys even put it in the fuel tank when there is a small amount of fuel left.

try putting a few drops of aro in the gas tank when the tank is almost out, this will suck it into the carb without the chance of dirt getting in.

O yea I hadn't thought about having the filter off, it could suck up some bad dirt and crud and then you could wave byebye to your engine.

What I did was after letting the engine run till it sucked the tank dry, I popped off the air filter and put a few drops of ARO in the carb. The fuel line had a smidge of fuel left so I cranked it back up.
It ran for a few seconds then died again, but you could tell the ARO was all through the engine because it didn't run after it started consuming the aro.

I guess that is one way to go about getting the ARO in there. Personally, I would just pop off the air filter and drop in two to three drops of ARO. Then give the pull start a yank or two.

I have always used this method without any problems!

I honestly think you have less chances of getting dirt and crap in your mill by going through the carb versus going through your glow plug hole. Personally, my glow area collects more crap than around the carb. Not to mention, its very easy to wipe around the carb before taking off the filter.

And yes, a couple tugs or turns of the mill after you drop the oil in are key.

I learned two things:

1) I should not put ARO down the glow plug hole, but the carb.

2) Putting ARO in the fuel tank is a nice clean way of getting it in the carb, plus it helps get that last bit of fuel out of the tank and fuel line.

This is why I read this forum fellas!! Thanks

I saturate my engines guts with either ARO or WD-40, down the carb and the glow plug hole. Then I run it on the starter for a few seconds. Works great for me.
