Are Trinity and Associated Related?

Hey, everyone may already know something I dont but are Team Trinity and Team Associated related? I mean they pretty much took the rc18t and made the itsy bitsy spider. And here, I got this email.

A lot of companies make aftermarket parts for cars. No they are not related. I dont think it would fit if it doesn't say.

If I remember right, some years ago, Losi and Trinity merged... Whether or not that's still true today, I've no idea.

I'm pretty sure there 2 different companies. Alot of companies will make parts for others. 50% of the parts on my Tmaxx were made by XTM.
