Yes they are compatible......I did the upgrade to mine and was a night and day difference.....Only part I hated was you have to open the tranny to adjust 2nd gear...but can adjust 3rd from the side....

i think ur confused u can only adjust 1st-2nd from the outside but to asjust 2nd-3rd u gotta take the aranny apart.
 
YA I typed it wrong I was tired I stand corrected......If you would have seen the private message I wrote to him I refered him to HPI website for the exact info so as to get it all correct and dirrect form HPI....But thank you for the help in the correct info hpiracing1123
