Are these Nitros worth it?

I wouldn't recommend them, unless you're looking for a cheap, cheap car. They're not known for their durability, so unless you like replacing parts you have to drive careful.

If you have the money try for an OFNA or for a cheaper alternative you can go with Kyosho.

You will be much happier if you spend the extra cash for HPI, Traxxas, Losi, or any other big name. Parts are easier to get, more durable, and most likely will have much better customer support.

Redcat racing like others have said is cheap. But i have dealt with them and they are okay. I had the redcat racing lighting and it was fine. I really had no problems other then the tranny grinding down once. the engine always started up fine and was plenty fast. but i do recommend something that you lhs has and carries arts for.

I've never had a redcat, but I have had traxxas and HPI, and I must say it's soooo NICE to be able to go to the LHS on a saturday morning and buy parts off the shelf in time to get a day of bashing or racing in, whereas with brands that the LHS doesn't stock, you would have to wait until Monday to order, then wait for maybe a week for the parts to get to your door unless you spend way more than it's worth to ship it, and then you still have a 3 day wait.

The most value for money I have found is HSP. I have an Atomis Warhead with a 2 speed that (supposedly, but not proven by me) runs to 100kph. (60mph for the non aussies) They are fairly durable and the parts are easily found online. Worth a look!
