Are rpm a-arms any good?

I'm really not sure I did leave the front drive cup on the tranny though I was affaid that it would throw the tranny off balance not sure if it helps or not. I have had it like this for sometime though. I gotten to run awhile with no problems. I like it 2wd it reminds me of a 2wd sport quad. I also have extra parts if something should go wrong. I also have a 4wd xl to I like both. The only thing with the 2wd set up is that it makes it harder to recover in the air with it and yeah it gets stuck easier to. But it's different. It turns on a dime compared to the 4wd.

I also have a 2WD savage.....I'm not quite sure about there being more stress on the transmission, I thought it was locked? There's probably twice the stress on the rear dog-bone, and the ring/pinion now that it's pushing the whole truck. I stripped as much weight as I could without staring to cut things off.

Hpi stock arms do look strong never had one break on any of my old savages just you see so many people on forums with them on, they must have money to burn , do it for looks or there heavy bashers.

It's all of the above, but I am not afraid to drive my Savage anywhere so if that is a heavy basher, then that is my Savage. ;-)

As noted if you are not having any problems with your stock arms, then why get something else? I can tell you my Savage was worse-off with them. They added weight, the upper-ones affected the suspension, and the lower ones disallowed me to mount my sway bar kit (which actually does have a tangible impact). Hell, PM me and I'll send you mine because I sure don't want them. I only got them because I thought the stock were problematic, but it turned out to be another issue adding stress to the arms. Instead of putting a band-aid on it with so-called stronger arms, I'm fixing the root problem.

So my opinion to you or anyone else that wants to listen is take that money and spend it on something where you will actually notice the difference.

Thanks , we'll I think I keep the money in my pocket and replace things as they break ,
Cheers all...

One of the best mods I did was to my XL back in 2011 with BP diffs and the sv250 3 speed tranny mod , and a good shim job and maintain your you'r tranny and CB bearings on a regular basis your tranny will be bulletproof.
Have not had any tranny problems sense and belive me I put my tranny though the ringer :D

+1 on shimming the transmission. I was a skeptic at first then employed it and it's held up like a champ. You are also spot on about checking/maintaining your CB bearings...often. ;-)
