A few months ago I added a couple of these Lyre Tail Mollies...

They are very mellow and don't cause any problems with the other fish. Well, I went to put food in the aquarium a couple of hours ago and found I was the "Father" of 13 little Mollies.
One of the original pair started turning grey a few weeks ago and I didn't know why. It's the bigger of the two and I think that must be the female.
So far all of the little guys seem fine. It's very cool. They're the tiniest fish I've ever seen, barely 1/4" long.

I had that happen with kuhli loaches once. Had like 30 of the little guys in my tank all of the sudden. I really liked those, they would chase each other around like puppies.

That's really cool. I had a friend whose guppies would breed like crazy. It's cool to watch them grow up.

Very cool! Successful fish breeding can be so rewarding and fun. We used to have a 90g show tank. Over the course of 20 years it housed reef, then brackish like your molly tank. Guppies and mollies are such prolific breeders.

You wouldn't believe me if I said you couldn't see the back of the tank through the schools of guppies after 2 years, lol! Make sure to donate/sell excess mollies if they start to overpopulate, don't want to crash your bacteria stability!

Reading that I pictured a sunken trailer park, and fish so dirty they had loaches. :D
