Someone from another site suggested using McCoy MC59 glow plugs on my Tmaxx. I have the TRX 2.5 and using 20% nitro fuel. Anyone using these plugs and do you notice a difference from the stock Traxxas plugs?

My lhs says that the mc59 is great for smaller engines and cooler days for slightly larger engines. I've been running a mc59 in my .15 and a mc9 in my .18 and everything has been good so far. Minus my pinching problem.

The MC 59 is a nice plug. I'v e had good luck with them in my TRX 2.5's and my OS.18's. Now days I've started using a tower hobby plug thats 1.50 cheaper than what my lhs chargers for a MC 59 and I can't tell a difference between the two plugs.

^^^^^^^^^^^ which tower hobby plug do you use?
Tower ID number = LM2901

Now these plugs are a little shorter than the MC59's but everything else seems the same to me. Just an FYI, It's cheaper to buy two 6pk plugs than a single 12pk plug set. I would proubaly suggest buying just a few at first to see if they'll work for you before buying 6pks etc.

Good luck
Ray

thats funny i was at the lhs shop 2 days ago i have a new jato and a 3.3 tmaxx told him they would not start with the glow plug wire on, if i took it off and used a stick it fired right up.
he told me use a mc 59 i will try them know that you guys say they work
thanks guys

I felt that the stock plugs get burned out so I switched to OS #8
