My wife gave birth to our 4th kid and I took 6 weeks off work. I will be returning tomorrow. I install fire alarms, so I do alot of driving. My commute is sometimes 1.5-2 hours from my home. I used to listen to news radio, but I am so sick of...politics and all the biassed news. I drive a large van, so music is hard to hear because of the noise, but I can hear voices just fine. I've never been one to listen to podcasts, but I would like to give it a try. I have no clue where to even start, so I figured I would ask some of you like-minded individuals! Anyone have a podcast that they really enjoy listening to? I just want to stay away from news and politics. Maybe one that tells a great story. I've tried the Joe Rogan experience, but it just bores me listening to 2 people just talking to each other. Any suggestions?

I like long based stories on Spotify personally
I recently got into one called
the storage tapes
Rabbits was another really good story
I get more into the stories voiced out and played out over the 2 guys talking podcasts
Is also a pretty decent selection of books on tapes
I am a nerd so love hearing some of the stories behind things
MTG lore unofficial. The author voices out characters and makes the storytelling a lot more entertaining
Good luck bro hope you find something that clicks for those long drives

Cleared Hot (Andy Stumpf) - Former Navy - Commercial Pilot - Set a Wingsuit skydiving record (for charity) - Triple Seven event last year (for charity)... 7 sky-dives on 7 continents in 7 days.

Really funny guy who does great interviews

Wife and I listen to
Old Gods of Appalachia
The synopsis is basically the Appalachian Mountains we're created to imprison some baddy gods before the time of man. Now that erosion and mining are taking place they're escaping.
Great stories.

This is a zombie themed radio show. Loads of fun if you're into that.

old gods was really good lol i liked wolf sisters
Hell yeah! Podcast is still going strong...aaaaaand they have a table top rpg that is freaking awesome based on the cypher system. We bought the core and would love to play but, lol, we don't have anyone interested in it. We played Dragon Age for a looong time but our DM became homeless and liked pharmaceuticals too much so we quit the group. We had just had our son and we hosted.

Never tried to do it online. Seems kinda impersonal to me. We would host and have dinner or a pot luck. Was a great time.
