it is on the way, it was shipped on on monday:) I will post them as soon as it arrives.. from what I have read up on it it has the drive train from a tamiya pajero in it..

it arrived today.. pretty sweet looking.. iwill get some pics up after I get it all cleaned up.. and th new body panted:thumbup1:

The Tamiya CC-01 (cross-country)? Wow, I didn't know that. Have seen quite a few cool builds with that set-up over on some other crawler forum.

yeah, may not be a crawler, but sure won't be a competitive SC runner apparantly though...

you know what shred sled you dont have to be like that i was just asking

wait, what? Be like what? Sorry, I'm at a loss as to what you are referring to?

I guess we will have to see.. the motor it comes with it a stock Johnson 540 which does not have higher rpms like sc10's/blitzs/traxxas motors.. so it is getting swapped out for a better stock motor..and tha battery box arrea needed som foma added also along the insides so that if you aded a Lipo it would not hit the insides if it would slid around.....I will be geetting pics up today.. this still uses the 48pitch spur/pinions.. but no slipper..

this is no crawler:p

why do you say that?I plan on running this truck..It looks like a slipper can be added really easily, right now it is just geared to high ...and I see nalot of hop-ups for cr01 on integy ,just need to order up the steel gears for the transmission

wait, I thought you mentioned it was using some Tamiya "cross-country" parts, that would mean CC-01 chassis. The CR-01 chassis is their "crawler" chassis. Different parts.

And please tell me you weren't seriously considering using integy parts!? I would definitely be looking elsewhere.

Does this chassis come with steel gears in the trans? Just wondering why you want steel gears in there? Seems most people have problems with all steel gears in the trans.

this is the THUNDER tech truck http://www.thundertechracing.com/pro2a.htm it looks like it has parts from a bunch of different cars in it traxxas, tamiya..Rc4wd....And yes I will be using th Integy alloy gear box from the Cr01 it is the same thing that is in this right now..;) You need steel gears if you running a bigger motor cause it will burn up the little plastic ones...Thunder tech offers the steel gears and the MIP cvd's for this(which it has already)I do not know why the previous owner did not get the steel gears..But I will be getting them.. this is the same gear box that is in the thunder tech http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=6152&p_catid=138 thats what I was told ..

Those Walker Evans wheels and Mickey Thompson looking tires are the best part of it! So cool!

What motor/ESC are you planning on running through this thing?

Let us know how it all works out! Looks like a fun project.

I plan on running a Stock team Associated esc. and either the HPi motor or a Blitz motor for stock class,I have a bunch of pinions/spurs on the way from tower so i can figure out a good ratio right now it is set way too high, it has no bottom end only top end..I think there is a 24tpinion and a 84t spur.. the spur has no markings on it so it hard to say, it just says "kimbrough" without any teeth number.. I was told from the previous owner that what was on it..right no I have it set up with my sc10 stock motor and it is pretty slow off the line, but I'am also playing with it in my basement also which there is not much room to run with it..:p:p

The tires that are on here right now are RC4wds, 1.9 crawler wheels they are what came with the truck I think? The other set of tires are Tamiya 1.9 M/T crawler wheels also but a Much harder compound..The rims are also Rc4wds.. The only thing I hated were the little screws the Head were stripped, so I had replaced those with new screws from My HPI Baja beadlocs , I just had to drill out the holes a tad more to make them fit..

I think Ramtech rob has one of these as well?

I ended up selling this,In the long run. I think it would've been a headache.. looking up parts was a nightmare from hell...so I got more then I paid for it...

I have one and I love the way it handles sideways in every corner makes it handle just like the real thing I had a slash and got rid of it when I got this I put a 3300kv bls in it and man its fun!
