when running 17mm wheels, did u use any special adaptors to make up the difference in axle opening? example...the stock hex locks are 14mm...so the dont grap the 17mm wheels. did u a standard washer, or did the kit come with an adaptor?

did that make sense?

Rob,

Thanks for the links. i have the HPI 17mm hexs, that come stock in the newer kits. What I didnt get was washer like items that mazimizer includes. is there a HPI part equivalent? if not, i'll just get the maximizer set.

If you have the HPI 17mm hexes, then you should not need any washers.

The maximizer washers covers the hole size increase in 17mm wheels. Since you still use the stock 14mm nut, the over sized washer is required.

I have the 17mm hex conversion kit from HPI and I dont need or use any washers. I have no problems with it . had them for about 6 months now too.
