Doesn't matter. If you like how it looks, then go for it. Just be aware that with alloy arms/towers, you will more than likely just bend them and/or break what they are attached too.

gotcha... i was looking for not only looks but strength... but i can see your point... so for suspension... the rpm parts are the better way to go? i only saw that they offer rear... anything available for front?

Rear of what?

Their savage arms are for front and/or rear.
They have two different types for the revo, rear true-track, rear normal, fronts.
The LST arms are also for front/rear.

I got into this hobby after driving a savage 4.6 with upgraded suspension. I got a deal on a used lst2 with integy aluminum arms, pipe and clutch...I bashed through 5 tanks of gas along side my buddies savage and just kicked the snot out of it. From an engineering stand point, the losi is hand over fist more intelligent. Flat design chassis, lower center of gravity and a more centered engine mount. The savage looks like a toy compared to the Losi. The savage looks like a Japanese design compared to a German design car. I'm am very happy with my lst2

Typed this from my phone. Hope it is clear.

My buddy even said to me, your truck seems more stable and took less spills because of.it.
Look ay the trucks side by side from the top with no body.
Just my humble opinion. I think they are both fun trucks. After hearing my buddy just drool over the Losi, I had to add my opinion.

I also think the savage is tougher than the XXL, but they all have weak points. I would rather have something a wee bit more fragile, if it meant better handling, like the Losi.

The XXl is like a quaterback who's not afraid to run the ball....and can get away with it repeatedly, IMO.

The savage is like a big doofy lineman....tough, but relatively clumsy, based on ALOT of threads comparing the two trucks, both here and elsewhere.

The XXL has been said to be even tougher than the lst2, but I forget how. I think it's the a-arms. I love my XXL, it makes me wonder why I keep upgrading all my traxxas vehicles.

I was supposed to run against the Savage again today, damn rain popped up though.

i put the stock tires off my XL on my XXL with the hex adapter kit. Brought the truck to life. Better grip and just goes so much better, i also run 50wt shock oil with yellow shock springs, with the shocks turned down so it sags a little. Handles like a dream. put a half of a gallon threw it today. i also bought the new updated battery for it, makes the world of difference.

Yeah, those stock tires are nice and plush on the losi's, but man, they rob power and handling like crazy.

I thought it would be cool to get the LST2 tires/wheels for my aftershock. I figured with an LRP28, it would do fine... nope, instantly the two speed started chirping and slipping and it just generally felt like a dog. I went to a set of traxxas 17mm revo tires and it became snappy and had good handling again.

I am having 2 speed problems right now...just won't shift into 2nd...

After a good day of bashing in the 39 degree weather, the tires i feel didn't take away as much as i thought, the standard shock weight is only 30, and the stock chrome springs are too soft. With the updates i did to the shocks and the shock oil it handles so good. I broke a spindle to day showing off at the hobby shop lol Oh well, was pretty easy to order parts. I have proline trencher tires, and Axial Black chrome wheels for it too, just waiting on the mail system. My issue is that it hits 225, and my alarm goes off for overheat. I cut all the windows out, and made it run a bit rich.. still gets to 200 awful quick

ya but it doesn't stop, it hits 250 pretty fast from 225. I talked to the old owner of it and he ran it down on the beach so its pretty lean, so ill make it a little more richer today
