Whenever I am done running and I have to get that very last bit of fuel out of the bottom of the tank but the fuel filler bottle just lets the fuel drain back into the tank. So my question is, does anyone have any good ideas on how to get the very last bit of fuel out of the bottom of the tank? Thanks

1) Open your fuel tank
2) Hold your fuel tank open
3) Turn your ride upside down and DUMP IT OUT!!!!

That's what I do.

Or if you're really inclined to save every drop of fuel, you can take the fuel line going to your carb and stick it in your fuel bottle, then take the pressure line going to your tuned pipe off and stick that end in your mouth and blow. Obviously make sure it's clean first.
This will blow all fuel out of your tank into your fuel bottle. But seriously, for just a couple of drops of fuel, dump it out.

Don't you get gas on everything though?

I dont want to save it because your not supposed to use already run fuel

but the idea about blowing ot out is good. Thanks

Hey GilBeQuick you forgot part 4. light unused fuel on fire
and dont forget your safety gear.

makesure to wear saftey goggles fuel gives you blind spots for 2 weeks... (IT HAPPENED TO ME WHILE I WAS TAKING MID-TERM EXAMS AT SCHOOL...READING WITH BLINDSPOTS...NO GOOD)

I just take my fuel bottle, get the most out that I can and then dump it. Its your choice to wear goggles or some kin of eye protection. I did that one day, the wind was blowing and the poop got in my eyes, burns like hell, but didnt have any blidspots. Lucky me.

At the end of a day of driving we:
  • squirt a small amount of fuel into the tank, if necessary
  • fire up
  • drive in RH circles at 1/3 throttle until it quits

the result is a *completely* dry tank.

i hook the pressure line up to one of those little fish tank pumps, then stick the fuel line in my bottle. turn the fish tank pump on... and walla empty tank and fuel lines. works great and no nasty taste of nitro in the mouth.

later

It's not like a couple of drops of old fuel left in the tank is going to destroy your engine. If you're that paranoid about a few drops of fuel left in the tank and want to be environmentally friendly, use a turkey baster type fuel pump. Keep the left over fuel for cleaning your greasy parts. I know the turkey baster may not be the "cool" way to add or remove fuel from your rc but it works just dandy for me and less overall spillage.

or you could use a empy fuel bottle to suck it up

i personally just run it dry after it stalls i throw the glow charger on there and turn it over un till all the fuels burnt up or i just leave the left over in the tank

So Simple. Some people are inclined to leave at mid tank for whatever reason. I have done it and just suck it back up with my bottle an dump the rest. Normally I drive it empty but I try to avoid this as it tends to make you run hotter temps. I like to use the pinch method at the carb. clears out most of the feul in the crank case.
