they are slighty bigger and weigh a little bit more but it is worth it to get the best ones u can its almost impossible to tell only the size may limit u but it shouldnt on most of todays cars
Yes they do weigh a bit more but I haven't seen a difference in size. Batteries are bound to a size limit. all AA,AAA, C,D ..... Have a set size (Industry Standards). I would be interested in knowing if I'm wrong.
The down side is (FOR THE MOST PART) to properly charge them you need the proper chargers. Older chargers and cheep chargers will heat up.

The only thing a set of good 2400 MAH pack (or any sanyo 1200/1400/1700/2000 scr anything else is junk) is good for, is if you were to time trial for 1-3 laps to set up your heats. Other then that there is no advantage, only disadvantages.
