I think a .21 would be to much power for a NTC3 dont ya think? Umm, fishtales, burnouts, giant flips, can you say overpowered? But hey, if ya do get it to work, send some pics. Good luck!

I'd have to do some research on it...I could probably do it...is the shaft on a .21 the same as a .12? How swappable are team associated parts? Mainly the clutchbell and clutch nut
oh, you'd have to order the mounts through OFNA...I doubt you could find some pics on it...
hmmm...this weekend i'm gonna goto the hobby shop and look at some engines
Oh, i'd sure like to see someone flip and on-road...you'd probably just to massive burnouts and fishtails...blow a few spur gears too
I did that with my o.s....when you take apart the engine, check the dimensions of the shaft
you know, I got to thinking, if you could find a .21 car with a clutchbell of the same dimensions and threadsize of the ntc3, then you could swap the whole thing directly into the car...just a thought
yes - it is okay to flip a carb - no harm done. I wouldnt really recommend the engine swap. What would u accomplish? A stock, or resonably priced .21 would carry a worse power to weight ratio than a top of the line .12 or .15 race engine. Along with that, most good .12's already produce too much torque and cause massive wheel spin if you have the clutch set at too high an RPM. I would imagine that the vehicle would become almost uncontrollable. I have drivin a schumacher 1/10 scale that my LHS has, it comes standard with a very weak .21 and super high gearing, and it was still no fun to drive, due to the terrible handling the extra weight of the .21 caused. Anyway - that is my .02
There is nothing wrong with electric. Us TC nitro drivers need something to do during the winter months. I was in micro winter league this last winter and had a blast. Luckly a friend had an extra car that I could race. But I might consider getting my own for next winter.
man all i hear about is the winter months. must suck to live in the cold! i agree though, i am thinking of an electric that i can run when i dont feel like getting all dirty.
Heck. Come on up and visit some of us Michigan folks. We will give you a winter to remember. You haven't lived until you are flying in a open field on a snowmobile.
