Patience at the outset. That's important. Nitros need to be set up right first. But that's not too difficult. Just make sure your throttle and brake functions are working correctly. Make sure the carb opening is set and the tuning needles are correct. All that is covered in the manual. You'd be best served to read the operation parts of the manual a couple times before you start. Then break in the engine as per the manual. Take it slow. If you hammer on the engine too soon you could damage it.
also, a few good tools are a must. A quality glow ignitor. And definitely a temperature gun. This will help you monitor the operating temp of the engine to make sure you don't overheat it.

I'm getting the combo comes with a glow plug and stuff heres the page

at towerhobbies.com it says that theres no more temprature guns is that gonna be availible at the store

candy man can u get onlin on aim please
?

and if i get the temprature gun how much should i check it and what should the temprature be

does anyone have an idea how fast this car goes and if its good for a beginer

id personally get the 18ss, much more powerful engine, than the T15 on the RS4 3 Evo but because you are just starting up, its not really a bad choice, you can still always get better engines later.... make sure you always clean your air filter with in every 3-4 tanks.. Even though it might be a hassle for you, it’s worth the time to waste!

Good luck, I'm sure you will love the experience

alright i got it now so i put hte glow plug in the engine then the glow ignitor in that and that starts it and I'm ready to roll?

and after run oil I put a few drops in the engine and start it (pull or ignite it). but how many times and when i do that does the oil go in there so it doesn't rust or anything and what gas do i need i hear theres different types if this can all be answerd ill say thank u >___0_0__<

What part of Va are ya from??
Nothern do u have aim so i can talk to u through that? if you do my sn is m0difi3dglitchl2 and yeap do u live in va?

buddy I'm going to save you time.. if you plan on getting into nitro's hardcore.. get the 18SS now... Its good you have some experiance... but really get the kit.. and buy the radio. or use the radio from your electric kit... the ss is cheaper and much more worth it in my opinion. if i wasn't so impatient id go back in time and buy one. LoL I'm slowly upgrading and mine is now what the SS was last year. lol and I've spent like 3-4 hundred on upgrades.

yeah if you have questions.. you can add me to msn or email me.. [email protected]

I'm not in the states i dont use that aim bullshit.. lol Even though I do have it.
