i did a search on the subject and got a few threads, but i wanted to ask if anyone has seen or made a flat 4 AA holder or something similar. Think of a 2 AA side by side, now think another 2 AA blew them in 2 rows. Its flat , only 7mm longer and 4mm wider than a flat pack and I'm SURE it will last way longer.

My batteries in my savage and jato are Energizer 2500mah rechargeable and so far i've gotten 2gallons in EACH vehicle before needing to recharge. I'm tired of my new flat pack only lasting less than an hour...even IF i buy another pack its a pain in the ass. I'm going to see if i can make something.

i thought all these things run on 4.8 - 6volts there fore 4 AA rechargeables will work being 1.2v each.

@4.8 volts you will not be using the your electronics to their fullest. I'm using a batterypack from onlybatterypacks.com its a 2500 mah nimh battery and its great. for $25 you can't go wrong!

well I'm an IDIOT!! i totally forgot i had to buy a reedy flat pack for my jato a month ago. So i took it out and put in revo and it works perfect now. My neighbor used his battery tester ( he's an electric RC guy) and he said the tester showed it held a charge at 5.9v and peak charged to 6.4 and tester saided it was good, but after 5-10min of playing the servos would barely turn.If i turned off RX and let it sit for a min or two, then turn on it would work again for alittle bit. So it turned out to just be an OLD and probably over charged pack in the revo when i got it.

I ran for over an hour with the reedy pack and no probs, but I'm still getting a 2500mah pack. thanks for info
