You gotta be doing something wrong. Whats the air temp where you are shooting? No way can it be webbing at 3-4 psi, thats not enough to even get the paint through the brush, let alone have it dry on the way out. I have even used that paint with compressed air cans before I had a decent compressor set up, and I did not have that problem.

I'm innocent I tell ya! hehe. It's not very bad at that low of psi but it's still there. I did a test shot on some cardboard. Everything is clean right where I am shooting, but little strands begin to form on the outside of the spray area from the overspray. I spray in my house so it's room temp, my compressor has a moisture trap and 3-4 psi is as low as I can go and have paint actually come out of the brush. I was thinking maybe it needs thinned a little but wouldn't that make it dry even quicker? Maybe I'm too close to my work? If that's the case then using this for details is out of the question especially at 4 psi. I dunno NC, I can't figure this stuff out. I just got back from my LHS with some Fasorange. I'm gonna stick to what works for now but I really want to figure out how to shoot this stuff

I have heard that you have to thin it nearly 1:1 with paint thinner to keep it from webbing. I haven't used the stuff myself, but reading around a few painting sites (especially Skidmark's) they suggest really thinning the stuff out.

Ipainted my first body with pactra. It cobwebed all over the place. I turned the pressure way down and the piant would not come out. I hate the stuff. I have normal.

:OMG: That would be EXTREMELY thin. Plus, I'd have to keep just as much thinner as paint. Not very efficient at all. Plus, it doesn't even leave a clean mask line, but that may be because I didn't thin it out. I'll stick to Fascolor for now and try the Acryl in the future.

this one gets a big ole :thumbdown from me. NEXT!

That's why I just stick to my Faskolor and Createx. So much easier to use.

I use the acrylic Pactra and the stuff works awesome! How are ya preppin for it? And where you painting it at? If your NOT using the acrylic theres ALOT of stuff ya have to watch out for. Dont EVER paint where you have EVER used wd40 or anything liek that. That stuff stays in the air forever and youll get spyder webs and bubbles all day long.

Yeah stick with the FasKolors. I spray in the house too, and its much easier to breathe around it. I only use the paint mask for the SpazStiks and Alclad. My guess would be the lacquer needed to be thinned further and sprayed at around 15 lbs. (Thinning it would make it come out wetter)

All you Fascolor guys really need to try the Pactra Acryl. I have had much better sucess with that over any other paint. IMO the Fascolor covers poopy compared to the Pactra Acryl.

I agree 110%!!! Good stuff!

I'm definately trying Acryl on my next body. How does that stuff bond compared to Fascolor? Does tape have a tendency to pull it up at all? I ran into that problem with the normal stuff too. but most likely do to not being thinned.
