whats up guys I'm new here but not new to nitro. I'm gona get a 3.0 in a few days. i had 2 main issues one being able to get parts but i seen a few otheres ask about that issue and there was some links posted so I'm good to go on that.Next is i heard it will roll over at times i want to know if i lower the truck and be easy on the gass will that help. I'm in the market to spend around 250 and this truck is what I'm looking for. if u guys can help please let me know. if buyin new tires etc etc is the only way then i will look in to another truck. thanks

well i placed a order along with some red springs

well i heard TA will stop makin this truck some time this summer.I sent TA a email askin and pretty much seein they will still carry parts. As of right now alot of the main rc web sites that sell the 3.0 have parts.I do know if tower does not sell the kit they will not sell the parts. its not un heard of and i wont go in to it that much but tower does have some aftermarket parts real cheap. I'm talkin 25.00 parts for 6-8.00,for this it all points to tower working there way to not sellin the mgt 3.0 .As crazy as it sounds i did call tower thursday and all the info i could get was they had 1 left in stock and it looks like i got the last one. on there web site it says there low on 3.0's. well see what happens. i sure would hate to see this turn in to a biding war on ebay for parts etc.

well my truck came yesterday and i got it all set up. I'm waitin for a fail safe and hump pack to come. then i can get her running. i do have one question it said to set the idle screw after u get the truck up and running. for the most part i leave that alone until i get the truck past brake in.i had a issue with my tmaxx a few years back i messed with the screws and it was a pain to get the truck to start again. my local hobby shop said i should leave it alone until I'm down brakin in the engine.

just follow the break in steps , my 2 3.0 Mini MGTs went fine. as far for the truck rolling over easy it will with the stock rims and tires. i put a set of 1/2 off set rims with the stock tires on it and it helped from rolling over. just have fun with the truck its a blast.

thank you i went with the red springs on the out side for now. i have a question about the high speed needle for brake in. i read i comes set from the factory 2 1/2 and i have to back it off 1/4 a turn. mine has come a tad befor 2 1/2 should i back it off a tad or just start it and go foward with the brake in. i do think i will get to tank 4 with the high speed set a tad leaner then the book says. oh yea I'm gona start her up with the temp around 40-45 and i should have it broken in the same day

go ahead with the break in and leave the needle set from the facory it will be a bit rich but thats ok,your temps of 40-45 will be fine to and you dont have to do all the break in on the same day just start were you left off.

its just it said u back it off from where it comes. and it said it will come 2 1/2 but mine looks to b 1/8 off from that factory settings. here is a pic

if your worried then back the needle off a 1/8 turn to make it a tad more richer. and then go ahead and do the breakin.

Make sure your temps are getting up to around 200-220. And always put the piston to bottom dead center as soon as you shut it off. 40-45 is rather cold for a break-in. Preheat the engine with a hairdryer. If your having a hard time getting the temps up, you may have to restrict air flow to the head.

yea i was thinkin of doin that to make it a full 1/4 backed off from the factory stock settings.
