I'm contemplating upgrading my X-Maxx to the widemaxx aluminum suspension system by Integy. Is it better to go with the Traxxas widemaxx composite system? I've broken the stock composite arms before and have since upgraded to the RPM composite version and they haven't broken yet. I do like to bash my X-maxx occasionally and was a little worried that the aluminum might bend. Has anyone had experience with aluminum arms bending? Do they make it tougher?

I would not recommend aluminum arms on a basher. The X-maxx is designed to be light and flexible, if you put on aluminum arms it will make the car less flexible. There are ways to make the composite arms stronger (I have not tested these ways yet) such as, soaking the arms in boiling water, soaking it in WD-40, and there are probably ways that I forgot about.
