are aluminum rims good for racing or just bashing or should i just save my money and get something else

If your racing you will be going through tires ALOT. I dont think you'll want to throw your alum wheel away each time you kill your tires so you will be doing alot of mounting/unmounting.

Be careful, if the alum rims are heavier than the stock plastic ones it will take more tourqe to turn them. This will cause a decrease in overall performance. Some of the best racers out there run nothing but plastic disk wheels and win all the time.

IMHO alum rims are for show only.

big boi -i second that. the overall weight of the rims, combined with the pliability of the aluminium makes them a bad choice for racing. plus, i crack a rim almost everytime i race at tracks with unforgiving boards, and that would get expensive at 50.00 a rim
