I did a search, but I couldn't really find any help

I was wondering if the aluminum parts or carbon fiber parts were worth it. I asked my LHS owner and he said that plastic was the best because it gives and/or breaks to save more expensive parts from breaking.

I don't want to change the suspension parts really to save from wrecking more expensive parts, but I only recently learned about RPM having the nylon arms, but I can't find any for the Slayer.

I'm mostly interested in the alum skid plates and bulkheads, but Idk if they are worth the money

I run stock up front for the skid and alloy for the rear. The rear one has a tendency to grind off the part that holds the pins in. The aluminum takes a lot longer to grind down that far. For the front, I'll leave it stock. Aluminum bends and when you bend it, it weakens. Too many bends and it breaks.

I wasn't able to find RPM arms for it either. Don't think they make any. The stockers do seem to hold up to a decent amount of punishment. I'd chalk that up to smaller tires/wheels and shorter arms. Less overall leverage than on a revo, so the parts hold up better.

I actually cracked one of the front ones right where the pivot ball connects and it's still holding. I'm waiting for it to break to get a new one

Two of mine were cracked that way when I got it. I'm actually bidding on arms/axles/rods for a revo on ebay right now. Might look a bit stupid, but then I can also get RPM arms. Would make the slayer more stable and add some ground clearance...

I think I may have known... just forgot. When my aluminum wears out, maybe. Although, bad butt landings tend to snap the skid right off, so alloy may not be all bad. Could still get those skids though to protect the alloy one from wear... hmmm....

If you're getting the rx box you should look into the one that includes the fuel tank conversion. It allows you to run a bunch of different and really nice tanks.

Revo, when you talk about tanks, which ones are you talking about? I looked around on ebay and tower hobbies, but I don't see any for the revo that isn't the stock one

You got it Olds, I use the mbx5t tank. I had to tip it back a little but it works awesome. I also took out the little plug from inside and screwed in a piece of plastic shaped like an L. It makes a perfect baffle for my 'slowing down lean condition'.

its a 2.5 Revo based chassis, just silver like the 2008 platinum. should have been specific, sorry. :)
I'm using a Slayer chassis for my Revo.

have youu thought about the m2c part no. 1010 .
It replaces the rear plate and retains the hinge pins so, you can cut off the rear of the
plastic skid plate and not have to worry about it any more
