i took off all my integy aluminum parts and made it back stock, so disapointed and disgusted with these parts,i do not recomend putting aluminum parts leave it stock just do the hop ups for performance forget the pretty aluminum its to ridgid it does not flex it will bend also it makes your truck too damn heavy,so if your planning to put aluminum on your truck i say dont waste your money!!!!!!!! i;ve wasted alot of money to learn this!

Obviously you've had a bad experience with Integy bulks, but I wouldn't totally count out alluminum all together. Since I've been coming to this forum I've learned a lot about what parts are good i alluminum and which ones aren't. Almost everybody will probably recommend staying with alluminum bulks...just do some searchin and see what type eveybody's runnin and how happy they are with 'em. On the other hand some parts aren't worth it in alluminum... like a-arms (as far as performance or durability is concerned). I think most of the veterans are runnin RPM, as am I (or will be actually). Then you got your little bling factor alluminum parts like servo mounts which don't really do anything but look nice. btw, where in Hawaii are you? I was just down there the beginning of May gettin married (Kona, Big Island) Gorgeous.. love the dark chocolate from the Original Hawaian Chocolate Factory..mmmmmmm

i took off the bulks also because, I'm not sure if its the brand but i bought some new era arms that accepts buggy shocks and they did not line up proper it was like a 1/4 inch off and if i forced it the suspention locks up wont move up or down so thats really what pissed me off so i made it all back to plastic except the newera arms..rpm arms is a good option I'm going to look into that. i live on oahu, kona is a beautiful place congrats. on the wedding!!!oh that chocolate is good the short bread dipped in chocolate is good too but pretty pricey!!!

well just did a search and found nada for savage rpm arms i guess none is avaliable or i just can't find them!!!

RPM has not made Savage arms, yet.

As for the New Era arms lining up, there shouldn't be an issue. They fit right into place where the stockers go...at least they did on both my stock bulks and the aluminum set I had. The part that attaches to the bulkheads should be a one for one fit with the stock upper arms.

I'm not a big fan of modding my cars to aluminium just for showing off, that's why I keep my Savage nearly stock, I changed the shocks and the receiver box because the stock one is difficuld to access, next step is changing the front Knuckle to the aluminium ones, but I'll not add any more alu mods, under my point of view an off-road car should be as flexible as possible, that's why they should be build with plastic.

Depends on your point of view. I do not like flexible shock towers. When they flex they are not providing a solid base for the shocks to do their job. When they flex, they are in fact acting like a shock. Also, when they flex things tend to get broken...headers, fuel tanks, shock shafts and bodies, etc.

I recommend aluminum towers and bulkheads, but choose your brand wisely.

Don't go with integy anything for structural support. Center skid maybe, but that's about it. On my maxx, I run stock towers along with integy bulks and RPM arms. The bulks are about toast. Actually, I'm running integy in the front and ACNCM in the rear. I broke the ears off integy rear bulks last weekend. I had a stock shock tower...

Integy is just too stinking soft. The threads strip out easily, the pieces bend and break easily... It's cheap in $ for a reason.

A few weeks ago, I completely trashed an integy shock tower. I hammered it flat and replaced it with stock. Stock doesn't flex as near as much as RPM, so you don't get as much of a performance lack. Although, I do run an RPM tower in the front, but I don't really care. The only reason I didn't run one in the back, is because it used to bend so much, it would trash my header.

oops, sorry bout that RPM suggestion. I forgot we were talkin about Savage. my bad. So since we all seem to be bashin Integy stuff I was wondering if any of you run or have run Integy shocks? I bought MSR5's a couple weeks ago for my Maxx project. not that I'm a big basher but do these things ever bend? I do know that the 5's have thicker shafts than the 4's but that's the only difference I know of.. well, besides the stupid cooling fins on the piggyback (like tha has any real purpose... or does it?)

hey sky the arms fit good with the stock bulks but with the integy ones there was no way to make them fit. lessen the shocks seem to be real good from what i hear...my truck should be alot faster with all the aluminum gone!!

I know bomber has toasted is MSR4's. Granted, they took a pretty good beating, but he only ran his truck about 5 different occasions with them on. He just picked up a set of traxxas big bores today. Guess we will see how good they really are. I've read quite a bit of good about them.

since you took all the aluminum off your truck, do you might wanna throw me some free stuff??haha
