hi i have a maxx with a xtm .21 conversion with the xtm 24.7 motor, and was wondering what brand of aluminum bulks i should get, i was thinking about intengy, but i hear there junk pretty much. oh, i was also thinking about aluminum diff covers, are those just for looks or do they actually help out alot?

The alloy diff cases let you shim properly and don't flex when under torque. Diff cases are one of the integy things I'd buy.

For bulks, you may want to give FLM a look:
Rear bulks: http://www.fastlanemachine.net/proddetail.php?prod=FLM18001&cat=23
Front: http://www.fastlanemachine.net/proddetail.php?prod=FLM17001&cat=23

Or, you can get their hybrid system that combines the bulk with the diff case. May be cheaper in the long run. You have to figure out what maxx parts you currently have. Be they 2.5 or 3.3 apparently.

i got the ones from traxxas, but dunno how good they are but they have held every thing i have thrown at it and then some

everything on it is pretty much classic .15 parts, except for the diffs, i got hooked up with some 3.3, the ones with the 4 screws. I'm just trying to build it up as much as i can cuz with that xtm motor I'm just breaking parts left and right, and I'm not even jumping it really haha.

I have some alloy bulkheads I may be able to part with. They are very solid....I went with the FLM hybrid bulks with Ofna Spider 6 gears diffs. But I also have a Sirio .30 in my Maxx too. I may be able to hook ya up if you are interested.

i was just looking at those FLM diff\bulkhead, looks pretty sweet! how would i get the hook up?

I was curious about that. Do those hybrid bulks have set screws in them to hold the hinge pins so the wear occurs on the arms? If they don't, I'd make some so the pins were stationary and the arms pivoted on them to help make the bulks last as long as possible. Doesn't take too long for steel rubbing on aluminum to get sloppy.

I think I accidently miss-led you..I have an extra set of regular bulks available...the FLM hybrid bulks I have are installed and being used in my T-Maxx

Yes they do have the set screws to capture the hinge pins. I love that feature. No need for c-clips at all and it makes the bulks last longer too. Only issue is you have to pull the skid plates to get to the screws for the lower A-Arms.

Dynamite Bulkheads

One8six

Happens that I have a set of front and Back Dynamite bulkheads (new in package). Problem is I don't now if they are considered any good or not as I have never installed them. But regardless if you are intrested i could give you a real shinny deal on them as they are just sitting around here.
Let me know

As long as they're machined and not cast, they should be fine. Especially at a shinny price.:)

Dynamite makes really good stuff for losi currently. They used to make pretty much everything on a maxx in alloy, but they don't anymore. Pretty good alloy from the parts I've had for my aftershock.

Good to Hear

Well I am very glad to hear these are fairly good parts. I have alot of stuff for a .15 maxx unfortunatly I'm tring to build a 3.3.

Thanks for the kind words fella's.

The bulkheads for the T-Maxx have remained un-changed from the .15 Pro Maxx until now with the 3908 3.3. So those bulks you have will work no matter what version you are building.

Bonus

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR! I thought I tried them once and seemed to small must have had to much wine that night. Sorry about that, I am just entering the world of T-MAXX, recently was giving a roller! I've been runnin rc trucks for about 6 years with several differant types of vehicles, BUT MY GOD, T-Maxx has got way to many versions, or I just don't have my head around it all yet. ANYWAY MUCH THANKS FOR THE CORRECTION!!

They're all the same for the most part, yet different. The new ones have an extended chassis, beefier trans and the 3.3 of coarse. The original ones are narrower than the 2.5, 2.5r and 3.3. Any thing from the bulks out are interchangeable, except for if you wanna use 3.3 axles, you have to use the matching hubs and turn buckles. It's a lot to grasp at first, but it becomes 2nd nature before you know it. Diffs and bulks are all interchangeable.

The only thing about the maxx and the bulks is that they are machined just a hair different, so front is front and rear is rear, only!

Not sure why they did that... would have been nice of them just to make them the same.

What do i have?

Not sure what i've got now? But the diff's from this truck don't fit in the Bulheads I've got. I have a set of 3.3 diffs and they fit in both bulkheads.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, still tring to figure out the different t-maxx's.

Thanks
