Hey Guys,

I spent this entire past Sunday working on getting the track back in shape after a long cold and snowy winter. I started work on the bobcat at around 10:30 am and finished work around 7pm. I only took a break for dinner. I lost count how much clay I dug out and spread but it was alot more than I had anticipated. I fixed all of the washout and filled in all the holes. It now has a decent clay surface on it for the most part. I still have a bit of cosmetic work left to do, and maybe just a few more buckets of clay, but it is drivable now. This is so much work when it is just me doing it all... but in the summer when I am running it makes it all worth it. Here is a quick pick I shot after I was finished.

Thanks guys! This past week we had like 5 inches of rain which wasn't a huge help......but the track faied well. I didn't appear to loose much of the surface. Just need some dry weather for a bit.

Nice work man!...hats off to you for your solo accomplishment

The big question is......who wants to drive to MD to burn nitro or lipos with me?

That's the worst part of going through all of that work.... not to many people to run with. My buddy I usually run with got a sponsorship deal and has to make like 26 races this summer so when he is not racing, he is hanging out with the family... understandable so of course. So usually it is just me running solo. My six year old little girl takes her ESX smash out there... but she hasn't learned to control anything yet... so when she is out daddy is marshaling. It would be nice if some of my friends here were closer. Maybe one day! :first_place:

That is so friggn sweet man nice job!! I wish I had a total badassness track in my back yard!!!!

Ill be on the first flight out tomorrow mornin with the .32 MGT!

Just amazing work Tom, seriously I'm in awe of that for a home track.

Thanks man! It's one of those labors of love I guess. The wife thinks I spend more time working on it than using it....but the weather is hard on it. I'm afraid I will lose it if I let it go to long. I also spend a fortune in roundup! Lol

Thanks man! We ought to do an RCNT bash on the farm!

You're killing me Tom! That looks great! Me and my boys just picked up 500' of 4" corrugated pipe, layed out our track, and a bear tore it all up before we could even get it done, so we gotta start it over. I'm gonna have to figure out a way to make it bear proof, lol.

I did not know there were bears in Florida! Learned something new! I fight the moles! I wish I could offer help with the bear problem. What kind of damage is it doing? Destroying the pipe or the track surface? It seems there is always something attacking the track....weeds, moles, Mother Nature....the dog... Seems it's always something! I hope you are able to get your track setup....it's a great feeling of accomplishment.
