hey i just pick up some alloy gear diff set from hpi 86826 are this any better then the stock i hope:D
 
I believe these are the best gears to use for savage diffs, referred to as "bullet proof":

The gear on the only you linked looks like the old school cast gear.

I bought XL diffs off ebay, then used alloy cases as well which required me to change the stupid outdrive cups because they wouldn't fit through the case halves.

Those came out before the "bullet proof" ones. They are machined steel vs cast like the originals. They were also painted black or anno'd black... whatever they did, they weren't a gold type color, but black.
