I'm with you on that one. I'd look for some hex bits like destrucktomaxx posted. You can easily use them in a hand ratchet or a drill. Great for RC stuff. I don't have the set he posted, but I do have a set and I use them all the time. When the ends get a little rounded, touch them up with a dremel and they are like new again for quite some time.
Sears Hardware has a 21 piece set of hex tipped bits and a long magnetic L wrench for 10 bucks. They feature a lifetime warranty and at the price, are unbeatable.
Here's the set I have from Lowes. They're all interchangeable bit stlye pieces. They carry a lot of different add on sets too includinga hook/pick set/, magnifier/magnet set and exacto knife set.
Metric and Standard. 10 per, plus the L wrench. I'd pick up a Megapro screwdriver handle while your at it, for the ultimate wrench set. I got the 13 in 1 ratcheting driver for 25 bucks at my local Grainger Supply store and I love it.
MegaPro makes a 15 in 1 hex driver too, but It doesn't have anything under 2.0 mm in it...to some it may or may not matter, but to me it matters. Damned Dubro Quik Collars, lol...

I choose Craftsman tools any day. I use to work at Sears and I know those boneheads will return damn near anything even if it doesn't have a warranty. You just got to know what to say
