alright i need help, i can race a car i can set a car up, but holy moly I'm having problems painting with an air brush, what paints are best to use, chrome and other colours, and what air presures should i be spraying at, seem to be having problems with the paint drying on the needle as i spray, specially when I'm trying to paint fine lines etc, if i give it a gush it doesn't dry but, little amounts do

I spray all colors between 25-35 psi.. Chrome has to be sprayed between 15-20 psi, because it likes to dry when sprayed at a higher pressure.. I use the Parma FasKolors, Pactra Acryl, SpazStix & Alclad paints...

I spray Fascolors at about 25-30 psi, and Pactra acryl and alclad chrome at about 15-20 psi. I like the pactra acryl the best out of the paints I have used.

Do you need to thin these paints, and if so how much and with what

I use the pactra acryl straight from the bottle with great sucess. The Parma fascolors tend to be a bit thicker, and can be thinned with just a few drops of water. Thin it as you use it though, don't thin the entire bottle at once. Do not thin the chrome at all, it is very very thin to begin with.

Man. I spray fascolor at 45 and get wonderful results. What do you reccomend for spaz stix?

Those are very thin, so use 15-20 psi at the most...
What happens is that at higher pressures, the paint will dry in the air, causing "spider webs".. I have never gone over 30psi...

I am working on the lid over the weekend. Last weekend i got my drips drawn by hand. I shaded them with Fasblack at 35 psi not 45. What a difference. It came out a lot smoother. I also got all the liuid mask on. Took 2 days for all 4 coats to dry.
