After drilling the wheels to allow air to enter and exit is there concern for water entering the tire? If so, how do you prevent this and what do you do to rid the water if any enters?
1. If you are worried about water getting in then stay away from the water.
2. If water does get into the tire and rim assembly. There is only one way to get it out. This is what I did. Disassembling the tire from the rims then let it sit and dry out. If you want you can squeeze some of the water out of the foam. DO NOT wring the water out by twisting as this can damage the foam. I then let it finish drying while it sat in the tire so it keeps it's proper shape.
You can also use a punch to put a hole in the tire, instead of drilling a hole out of the wheel. If you do get water inside the tire just hold up you car and give it gas. That will get the water out.
other than water....dirt will enter and accumulate inbetween the tire and rim...i have read that if the hole is in the tire, it will force the dirt out with some throttle. Holes in the rim works against centrifugal force. Just my $.02 tho
