I have read so many posts on airleaks, I may have talked myself out of believing I have one. so now I need to start from scratch; 3.3 a bit hard to start, with new plug and using hot shot.fuel line primes up quick. once started, idles great, jumps off line, has power thru all ranges(haven't sent it wot down long run yet, but good on short bursts on an acre.smoke sometimes a bit more than I want, but no temp gun so better safe.after a few minutes running, I begin seeing pin head size air bubbles in line. no big gulps of air, but if I unloop the line and create a high point, I'll end up with 1/4 " of air.exhaust dont show no bubbles,(couple, pressure line, and header)tested fuel lid(pinched fuel line, blew in pressure line). what I'm not sure about testing is between fuel line, and back plate. do all the needles get closed, block air filter inlet, glow plug in, and block off exhaust then blow in fuel line. and then maybe flush it down toilet to see air bubbles n/r when these tiny bubbles start appearing, I find myself starting to retune. anyone have a homemade remedy for temps?digital thermometer or turkey "pop out" ideas?

wow, didn't mean to make that thread a short story!!!

If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, they have temp guns that can get the job done inexpensively.

Digital temp gun at Advanced (Discount) Auto Parts $9.99 and works great. I had the same bubbles and mine were caused by the tank lid gasket.

I guess I forgot to mention: I have a kmart, checkers, and albertsons in my town. 1 am/pm, 1 volaro gas station, a del taco, and a kfc so I'm limited to temp resources. but I was thinking tank lid also. is there other places to get "tiny bubbles"(love that song). I pinch fuel line near where hsn is, and blow in pressure line. don.t hear any air coming out. no homemade temp guns?

The tank lid gasket leak on mine was so small that I couldn't really tell with the regular test. So I took the tank off and held it under water and did the test. Tiny little bubbles were coming up. I replaced the gasket and all better now.
