Air Filter Oil

i ran out of air filter oil, so i tried some dirt bike air filter oil on my old filter, its about the same consistancy, and a little stickier. i ran the truck for about 10 minutes and everything seemed to work fine. is it okay to use this oil on my air filter?

I'm sure that'll be just fine. I've read all sorts of stuff that people use as backup.

yeah i also use my dirtbike filter oil and it is alot stickier!

More $$$ in your pocket, compare the price on a 2 oz bottle of Air Filter Oil from LHS and Quart from Cycle shop.

I used a spray K&N Filter recharge spray the last time I did mine. I didnt notice anything different.. Seemed to work just fine

been told the K&N isn't sticky enough to use with a foam filter. I think K&N even has that on their website. Watch it doesn't let something sneek through and trash your engine.

Ill have to put the new filter on.. Wouldnt want that.. Consider it done. Thanks for the info!
