POS 2.5... maybe if you grind the dvd up and jam it in the cylinder head it would help with the overheating issue...

Olds has it right. Throw the DVD away. It isn't even worth using as a coaster. And get any normal heat range out of your head. Mine runs about 280, unless ofcoase you want to drive a MT in the grass or up a hill. Then look for +/- 300 easy.

Guys its not a NEw 2.5 Maxx. Is a way Hopped up maxx with a Sirio .18 No need to break it in. Retune for your weather and adjust the sliper and have fun.

Last time I ran it it was Prob 10* and snowing out.

Today I only had about an hour to play with it since putting on a Traxxas alum. tuned pipe, Motor Saver filter, 18t cb, and probably most important switched from a MC-8 to an O.S. R5 plug. Now it is running 250-260, but still pushes 300+ in the grass. Guess I will have to stay out f the grass a little more.

why does everyone say the trx 2.5 is hard to tune?? mine starts up easily and runs well with lots of power. you just have to know what you're doing...

I have the Siro 18tx anyhow.
Found some wire problems, have to get to the shop.
Runs very well, just have to fix the wiring before i can bash.
