ok so i did the mod and everything but now it wont engage 2nd gear. its just whistles really loud but wont go into second. any ideas?

You sure you put everything back together properly? I'd pull the two speed assembly apart and double check it all.

the forward only conversion mod where you switch the gears.
yeah i did all checked and re checked it. it could be that my 2 speed clutch shoes arent expanding to grab the second gear. they seem a little hard to pull apart

Did it work correctly before you took it apart? Is your slipper nut tight enough? If it's loose, it won't shift into second. I run mine 1/4 turn from the spring being fully compressed.

i think i found the problem somehow i lost the bigger coupling that goes inside that 2 speed shaft. all the hobby stores are close for the weekend but i will try tomorrow
