I was wondering if anyone could recomend a good aftermarket brake for the savage,I have the ss and the carbon rotor broke the plastic hub,no brakes sucks,I have it all apart from the tranny and I'm ready for new parts,any thoughts would be helpful!
 
I'm running the HB vented metal disk, and it rocks. Another thing that might be a bit more on the optional side is the GPM aluminum brake hex adapter. I'm running one of those along with the HB disk and it's nothing but solid.
 
Kwong, mine are there just for looks. You guys actually use the brakes?
 
i have the HB kit as well. i tore the first set of pads the first hard braking i did, but it was because i didnt glue the pads down. but i replaced them with some Thunder Tiger Helicopter Clutch material. i had to cut them out but now it stops on a dime everytime. i also had to adjust them way out so it wouldnt flip everytime.

the hex shaped hub is actually the part that broke on mine the disk rotor isnt harmed? do you have a link for the GPM hex adapter? thankx:help:
 
Thanks for the link,I found exactly what I needed and more! the prices are great and they have alota kool stuff for the savage!:dance:
