I was just looking at the new RCD mag and there's a spread on the inside cover for the new SC18 short course truck. At first it would be typical to assume that it's just an extended chassis RC18T with a scale body but if you read the captions and look closely at the 'not so great' photos you can read and see that it's BELT driven. Sealed Two belt driven actually according to the caption. Looks like it will come RTR with a ball bearing drivetrain. I'd say AE is looking to popularize a spec class for the mini's as Traxxas was able to do with their 1:10 truck. Belt drive and bearings equal efficiency. Cetainly meant to be raced if you ask me.

Hey you are still alive! You've been kinda scarce lately.

I'll have to wait until it shows up in XR/C or my lhs. From the description you sound right in your assumptions to me.

Don't worry, I didn't abandon ya'll :) I was out of town all last week on vacation. I still checked in a little on my phone but for the most part I was out of touch with my r/c stuff.

I bet this will be a badA little SC truck. I think the drivetrain is brushless ready if necessary.
