The traxxas one is fairly convenient what with the belt clip, and only needing the wand, but I had a nitro slash for a short time and the pull start worked well on it.

Also, I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but what's the general consensus around here concerning reverse?
Get rid of it and the Opti-Junk!

Yea, I don't think it's new enough for opti-junk, but the EZ-start is in the spare parts bin. Hence the blister obtained from my brain fart. :thumbs-up:

And another one. You meant the reverse. Smh. It must be Friday.

I had the original Revo 3.3 and it had an Opti-Drive on it. I ditched it quickly and went with an FOC and rear-brake kit.

Look for a micro servo with a linkage to the transmission. The servo should be connected to the Opti-Drive which in turn is connected RX.

This thing in/near the receiver box:

Nope. Ain't got one of them. I do need to pull the trans apart and see if it has the FOC. It does not have rear brakes or a center diff.

Minor update. No, It doesn't have Opti-Drive. I'm pretty sure it has the FOC. Ordered a new receiver battery, some diff oil and shock oil, so I'll be tearing it down soon. Found an eBay store that has a website with a 5% off everything coupon that sells Tenergy packs, and had AE fluids. Their selection was rather limited, but I got 60k diff oil and 47.5 shock oil with the battery pack for $18 shipped, so I don't think I did too bad.
In other news, the asphalt plant they were tearing down and rebuilding is operational now, so hopefully Mother Nature gets back on her meds soon, and I'll get my call!

Man... mother nature is a bipolar broad this year.
So I rebuilt some shocks today. Kinda hoping to get some thoughts on what I've done. I have 3 of the hard anodized GTR shocks with the Ti-Ni shafts. I'll get a 4th soon. For now I used a stock aluminum shock. I have #2 pistons all around, I know it's not the way it should be, but it's what I have right now.
I put silver springs up front with blue in the back. I also have green, white and orange, along with extra silvers and blues, so if you have a suggestion. ..
I'm using P2 rockers, and in the rear I moved the pushrods to the inside hole on the arm.
I put the upper hinge pins top on the front, lower in the back.
Come to find out the polished pipe I have is a dual chamber just like stock, so... I drilled out the stock blue one.
Cleaned and oiled all the bearings.
Think that's all I did on the big'n.
Rebuilt the shocks and center diff on the mini while I was at it.
Hopefully I'll get some decent weather soon.

Thank you. I'll get some pics tomorrow maybe. My middle sin came this weekend, so I'll likely spend it goofing with him.
I hated taking it apart to put it back together with stock parts, but RPM parts and CVDs will come with asphalt season.

Your just basicly getting it together to run it right when weather permits?

Yea for now.

I'm burned out an pretty much always too tired to mess with my rc's!
Since I was terminated from my job ,I've been just swamped in work .
But I'm definitely have to get back into my experiment drag car build, just been too busy to
stay focused on it an to get parts scattered everywhere.
I'm in California ,so I'm not stormed inside to get to spend time on rc's;

I also need to get my baja buggy out an run it ,I hope the carb hasn't dried up in it!

That's the hardest thing for me right now. I've been laid off since December. Supposed to start back beginning of April, but this fool Indiana weather... it snowed today. With sleet. And hail.

Yea,I was doing a roof job yesterday an got caught in a winds storm, luckily I had everything
kind of buttoned down.It was roll roofing so I had tared the over lap seams on the felt.
They claim rain here,so I didn't go today to finish ,instead I went an mowed 2 yards before it rained.
I was pretty much dusted by the time I got done an didn't feel like going to do the roof.

Lol.... are rain is a sprinkle or 2!
The news made it out to be a down poor...

I hate this state. Born and raised here. If it wasn't for my kids I'd pack up and move.
