has anyone tryed these? ...i know its an unnessary expense as I've not heard of the stockers breaking on the savy ....but would they cause any problems ...other than more weight on the pig :)

looking at rebuilding the savage this winter, & thought they looked cool

I know their t-maxx ones were almost indestructable. The only issues I had were the screw holes stripping. But the t-maxx used 3mm hardware which is relatively easy to strip anyway.

I have broken a few sets of bulks. Normally they break where the top hinge pin goes through.

personally i've only broken one bulkhead and that was after a near full speed crash into a concrete piller other wise I've never had a problem with them.
The gearboxs on the other hand I had issues with the bearings in the diff would heat up and cause the plastic hub on the gearbox to warp slightly allowing the mesh between the ring gear on the diff the shift away from the pinion gear. I picked up a set of alloy gearbox's (GPM I think) from ebay about 2 years ago and have had no trouble since and the weight difference is negligable.

I've had the same issues with the diffs. To bad ACNCM doesn't make diff cases... I'm not fond of GPM stuff. I bought a used diff case of someone awhile back and installed it on the rear since it gets the most punishment. I think it's a dynamite case though.

I run aluminum bulks, forgot who made them. I no it wasn't gpm, or ACNCM. I havent had any probs with them, and if the bolts stick and trys to strip the hex, you just take the skids off and use some pliers to take it out. I've ripped an a arm of one time, no dammage to the bulkhead what so ever, and like evil said can't really notice any weight difference, I did have to shim the a arms with a thin shim, they are nice and tight and move freely afterwords...
