hi my name is peter. I am new at rc cars but as a car tech I thought I would buy a biy raptor. built it all up fine charged the battery pluged it all in and the esc was faulty to the point off melting. so after a lot of internet hunting I just received a twister2 esc pluged it all in and got a top speed of about 5 mph. my son has a faster rc car from argos any ideas???:\

Thats the Hara esc right? Isnt it a brushless esc? If your motor is brushed, then that might explain it. If it can power brushed motors, it will likely need programmed to know that it is a brushed motor.

it is for brushed motor got it from a bloke who used to race them and he gave me the esc and motor???

I'm not sure whats up then. Your battery is for sure good?

i found out the problem the car is backwards if I wire the motor the other way its in rev but the car goes. any ideas how to solve without spending???
