Does anyone know where I can get a Glow Plug Starter/Igniter that plugs into a regular AC Outlet. I need one for when my Rechargeable one is dead. Thanks

I dont know of one but you can get a hookup (hooks onto Glowplug) and put it on a Huge 1.5 volt hobby battery (size of 6 volt lanter battery) =devil

What does this hookup look like or does is have a specific name?

It looks like the shaft (for lack of a better word) of a glo ignitor and has 2 wires that you connect to the battery I think Dubro makes them but I'm not sure
=devil

i use a glow plug igniter that uses a regular c battery for backup to my rechargeable....cheap and works good.

Part of the responsibility of owning an RC is the maintenance.
It only takes 30 seconds to plug it in the recharger the night before your going to use it. You can also make recharging it part of your cleanup effort after you run your truck.

If all else fails go and steal woodies..=devil

Hey I plug mine in for the whole night before!!!!

Just after half a day of starting numerous vehicles, they die quick. According to their instructions, leaving a rechargeable glo ignitor on the plug for 10 minutes will completely drain the effective juice. I have had a few times where it takes 2-3 minutes to start a car.

Have a backup - 1.5v hobby cell. Works GREAT!

I busted up stick packs that had bad cells and used the good cells for my ignighter. now I have 5 good cells to drop in when needed.
