Well, it was time, And I got a great deal from Sweetdiesel. It's been around the forum a few times. But Dom had done some major upgrading and the deal was to sweet to pass up. As Dom would say..This thing is bullet proff. The paint job was done by a local guy here in town. It's my first and I am stoked.

The body doesn't help win races. It is basically a glorified mudflap or fender well. I want to see the chassis, suspension, electronics and motor selection, etc :devious:.

EDIT: I recognize that heatsink though, that is a trusty OS RG. You could probably run that thing on dirt if you ran out of nitro and it would still keep chugging along. I have one in my 9.5 right now.

Definatly not a mugen it has a c-hub suspension. Mugen has pivot balls. I'm going to guess its a kanai or a base 777 because of the wheels.

Its a Kyosho MP7.5 buggy...probably a K2 or K3 or somethin. I can tell by the body and the upper suspension arms, its not a MP777. Looks nice.

Woooa, This is all new to me gentelman, I am learning as I go here. It is a Kyosho MP 7.5 Kanai. And it does have a O.S. .21RG Series Mill. Hell, I can't remember what all Dom did to it, but the list is long. I will get info from dom if you like. Sorry for the confusion guys, I'm just way excited about this thing.

And I've had 2 Kyosho buggies...
I'm a putz.

From the new pics I can tell.

Nice ride, clean too especially for being used. I would recommend a stronger steering servo though. That JR Z590 makes for a great throttle servo, but won't last trying to guide the 8.5lb missle you got there. You could endlessly burn out midrange servos for 40 bucks a pop in the steering position, or buy one good one to last the life of your buggy for 80-100.

When you have the spare coin, go for a unit that hits these points (most important to least):

-coreless motor
-metal gears
-150oz or greater torque
-.15 or faster transit

There are units from Airtronics (94358, 94359), Ace (DS1313, DS1013, DS1015), Hitec (985, 5985, or 5997), KO Propo (2344, 2364, 2366) all are coreless, sub .13 transit times, and 170+ torque. I have seen most of these for around $80.00 on e-bay, but you have to wait for a deal on some of them. I personally have the KO Propo PDS2344FET, and love it. Rediculously fast, holds its line well, and re-centers well too.

I smoked two JR Z270s (shouldn't have even tried with all plastic gears), a Hitec 645MG, a JR Z590, and a Blue Bird 660MG before I got my first good steering servo. It is definitely worth the upgrade.

Thanks for the info kx. But as for now, with my RC budget pretty well depleted for awhile, I'm going to just learn off what I have for right now, Get comfortable with it, on and off the track. As I progress, and my buget allows, I will start replacing servos. For right now thou...I am just having a blast with it.

Dan I am glad you are happy with the buggy. After tuning it and watching it scream even at break in settings I was just a teeny bit sad to see it go. But after seeing that HUGE grin on your face after your first drive with it, I knew it was going to a good home.

No worries, it won't spontaneously combust if you don't do it. But when you go to upgrade the car (yes, even before the engine), that would be the first thing I would swap out. It will give you quicker handling, more precision, and better reliability. Looks like you have a pretty rock solid setup aside from that, should be a blast.

Sure looks familiar.... LOL. Nice looking lid Dan. Have fun with it as well as the rest of your herd.
