???? about clutch bell

can you tell me if the savage clutch bell is the same pitch as a 8th scale buggy clutch bell i was out smoking aroud to day and some how the clutch bell got SMOKED ??????? please let me know

Yes, it is the same pitch, but it's soft and made to run against plastic spurs.

Did you take a savage bell and put it on a buggy? Here's what happened to mine within a tank of fuel:

I was running the RCS steel 1/8 spur on my t-maxx with this bell. It lasted less than a tank before I saw a spray of sparks come out the side of the truck.

You need to run hardened steel bells against steel spurs. I use the OFNA hardened bells. They cost about twice as much, but they last much longer than a tank of fuel... I have about 4 gallons through the one on my buggy and it's just starting to show some wear.

i was asking cus i blem my savage bell up and all i have is a 8th scale buggy bell and i checked it out and found out is the same thanx for the reply so i put a buggy hardended bell on a savage

yeah old97 i did the same thing as you. i needed a quick fix clutch bell for my buggy as well. i used a spare savy bell and it chewed the **** out of it in maybe a tank. Any way i use ofna hardened clutch bells in everything now they are expensive but last a whole lot longer.

Yeah..I did the same thing too. Even with perfect mesh..It wont work.
