I bought a used JP-3 pipe and I am still wondering what the purpose of the hole/ring is next to the outlet hole. It effectively stops me from adding a stinger I had laying around to it. Tell me they didn't design it that way just to stop me from doing that or so I can hang my RC up hook with it. lol.

Reinforcement of the pipe exhaust exit tube so it doesn't break. The hole is reduce weight. The JP series of pipes are aftermarket tuned pipes designed for racing and adding a stinger would change the performance profile significantly.

Mystery solved, thanks. I wouldn't of thought about the stinger and performace. Appreciate it.
