Well Hopefully this or next week I'm getting a Savage. But I would also like to get a Electric ST.
I liked the looks of the Nitro RC10GT, but since I'm buying a Savage, Ill have to many nitros. So I was thinking about getting a nice electric ST just to play around with in garages, my basement, ect...
Is there any models out there that are good? Are the HPI electrics good? Or is Traxxas better?

Eventually Ill get the RC10GT so I dont want the Electric version then itll just be rediculous.

Thanks for any help.

I've only got the T3, so that doesn't help you too much. But, it is a great truck and has been very durable for me, and I'm a little rougher than most on my r/c's.

If you're just looking to screw around in your garage and basement, it really doesn't matter what you get, as long as you can get parts for it easy. If that's all you're really looking to do, I'd just head out to the LHS and get the cheapest one they've got.

HPI is good, but they don't have an electric ST do they?

Yea I just checked hpi ad they dont.
I was looking at the Traxxas Rustler, looked like a nice truck, does anyone have that and is it a durable truck with decent parts available?

You should get the team losi truck. It is very durable and is race worthy if you decide to race later on.

I have the Traxxas Rustler, its fun to bash around, its quite durable although at some point the motor is too slow and you will have to swap out the ESC and motor for a new one

Cool thanks, I liked the looks of the rustler, and I talked to someone who had the nitro version, and said it was pretty durable. Guess ill get that one then.

If you are just going to be playing in garages and basements, you might want to consider a mini-t. They are pretty fast with a 6 or 7 cell pack. Add some oil filled shocks and you should be all set! Plus the batteries last alot longer than most 1/10 scales. Check out a couple of videos on rcpics.net. You might like what you see!

Losi MF edition is the way to go. I had a T4, they are too finniky. AE skimped on Quality when they threw the kit together. Bearings did not last long, ball diff fell apart, weak a-arms. The Losi MF edition comes with all the hopups you need.

Evader ST 170$ Out Of The Box. Just Need A Battery And Charger. Parts Easy To Get With Pleanty Of Hopups Available.

I have the nitro version of the rustler, There are aluminum and carbon fiber parts and RDRacingProducts.com and other places you can get, The thing is real durable more durable than the xxx-t and xxx-nt and I have driven/owned both.

Personaly When I bought a electric(xxx-t) I sold it 2 weeks later because nitro is just that much better.

go with the XXX T from losi by brother has the RTR version and he races a kid down the road he has a RC10GT and my brother kicks his but every time they race and my bro couldn't race worth s*** but he still wins plus I think the RC10GT needs front bearings cause all it has are plastic bushings.

i think the mini-t is perfect for your garage or basement.not to expensive easy to find parts at least for me it is.best of all you can make yourself a little track to mess around with.

I agree if you want an electric just to mess around with in your basement/garage go with the mini-t, Won't put a big whole in your pocket.
